  Introduction:

 Infrared chalcogenide glass optical elements take S, Se and Te (chalcogens) as matrix. The glass system include silicate systems, germanate systems, calcium aluminate systems, lead germanate systems, lead niobate systems, etc. Due to its excellent intermediate infrared transmittance and extremely high athermalization performance, chalcogenide glass is regarded as a new generation of core lens materials of temperature self-adaption infrared optical systems, and can be widely applied to infrared optical systems. The material mainly includes HWS1~HWS8 (totally 8 marks) researched and developed by CDGM. It can be applied to automotive night vision, security monitoring, infrared induction, infrared domes and infrared transmitting windows (mostly night vision goggles).

  Advantages:

  1、With relatively small TCRI (dn/dt), it can be used as an infrared material with excellent athermalization.

  2、With relatively low refractive indexes (2.0~3.0), it can be used as an infrared material with excellent achromaticity.

  3、With wider spectrum transmittance, chalcogenide glass is suitable for compression molding.
